Basics of Penny Stocks
If you want to trade Penny Stocks successfully, there are a few basic concepts that you should keep in mind. While there are an unlimited number of trading strategies that you can employ for your portfolio, the best traders are always looking at a certain set of metrics and business aspects in order to form the basis for their buying, selling, or holding decisions. This analytical process is everything!
The Basics of Our Analytical Process
Some traders focus solely on the fundamentals of a business. Here you can look at profitability, debt, growth, and a companies' ability to scale over time. On the opposite end of the spectrum, you can make decisions based upon movements in a stock's market price. In this case, you might look at price patterns, daily and multi-day trends, levels of price support and resistance, and market volatility.
At Peter Leeds, our staff uses Leeds Analysis (our proprietary methodology for analyzing stocks). This combines all of the aspects of both fundamental and technical analysis, in order to give you the best overall picture of a stock's potential to go up or down.
We also use a third level of analysis where we consider other factors of a business such as brand awareness, product points of differentiation, and the barriers to entry that future competitors may face when entering a market.
